About the Creator
I’m Katherine Ambrose-Miyade, RD, CSR, LDN, but, please, just call me 'Kidney Kat'. Proudly, I have 20+ years of experience as a dietitian, 10+ years of experience working with dialysis-dependent CKD patients, and 1 amazing specialist certification in renal nutrition. I created this video course because I believe a person's health journey shouldn’t be a mystery and education doesn't work if it's boring! I’m a bit of a goofball, but I’m serious about helping folks navigate life with chronic kidney disease. FYI, the image of me with the fruit bowl is AI generated. I wish I looked that young!

No Provider-Patient Relationship: Participation in this course does not establish a provider-patient relationship. This self-directed, on-demand course is for informational purposes only. No one-on-one nutritional counseling is included. Actionable Results: Kidney Kat does not guarantee specific health outcomes associated with this course, such as changes to Glomerular Filtration Rate (GFR), the postponement of renal replacement therapy like dialysis, or the reversal of kidney disease. Disclaimer of Warranty & Liability: Medical research evolves rapidly, and so do evidenced-based nutrition recommendations. While I strive for accuracy and will update this course to reflect new CKD dietary guidelines, the course information is provided “as-is”. I am not liable for any errors or omissions.
